Bill reports that daughter in law Kayla is moving out Monday and leaving for New York to be with Sam's brother.
Debbie was paddling last night on calm water and wonderful weather. No reports of the crows watching - but
Judy could see Debbie paddling from her Condo. Enjoyed having the family at Birch Bay with competitive trivia games and nice walks on the beach with the good weather.
Kal went to a funeral in Kamloops driving a Tesla and made it to Hope before he had to recharge. Then stopped in Merritt for 45 minutes of charging which made him late for the funeral. The vehicle was recharged in Kamloops and got to Abbotsford with 10% battery left with trouble finding the charging station. Cost 60$ in electricity but took 6 hours. Next time he is taking the Range Rover and paying $300 + for gas.
Marg has been watching sports, walking, and eating. Not always in that order.
Peter's wife loves cats once had 26 in the barn. There were only two cats left in the house and both are sickly so she got two new ones. The cats jump 7 feet onto a shaky book case that will be strapped to the cats or he may have said the wall. The cats are 15 pounders. Put them on Maui they can eat the feral chickens.
Sam on Sunday helped Kayla move stuff into a pod(it might have been a body snatcher). After they went to a wedding food tasting and his first buffet in a while what can he do to bring the cost down by eating the most expensive food at the tasting. ??? ๐
Danny spent last weekend travelling to different parks to take photos of cherry and apple blossoms. To make more creative art he used crystal ball photography with amazing result. We would all like to see them.
Elena's. Granddaughter turned 9 years old. Elena is enjoying her walks every day at the park.
Peachy came to her third meeting and thanked all for a warm welcome and Elena for her support.
Gordon is enjoying the blossoms - apple cherry and plum. He has started winding down doing stuff at Rotary so he is down to Emcing two dinners, chair of the finance committee and on the Governors committee. That sounds more like winding up then winding down.
Amanda has been motivating and is starting the day with 5 am yoga with friend in Saskatchewan. A very reputable hair company is now having classes on line and Amanda is excited about what she is learning and at least the mannikins look great.
Sandra says she and Brian have been watching documentaries including Inventing Anna and then drop out Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos fame. Brian worked on medical rooms for Safeway to be used by Theranos that eventually did work out because then Safeway could use the rooms for vaccinations.
Dalbir is now enjoying dinners with large numbers of attendees with covid restrictions opening up. He has also been trying to book rental cars in Florida with little luck and recommends that before you book the air line, book a car. He no longer lives in India so rejected out of hand the suggestion that he bicycle. ๐ต๐ฝ
Debbie S. nose ran when hugging the bulletin editor - must have been my cologne. She did manage to catch it - her nose that is before it got far. Excited about the auction, the silent auction items and booking a table. Daughter Nicole has added professional photography to her skill set. Debbie was turning around in circles while speaking to us all which reminded someone of Yasser Arafat. Funny she doesn't look Arabic!!!!
Bob has a code for Avis that will give 50% off rentals. Car dealerships are going on line. So no car dealership lots and the cars are stored in a warehouse as cars are being bought on line.
Debbie T. has been enjoying walking and listening to the birds on the nice spring days. Her dog will join our Club as he insists on coming to Rotary on Thursday mornings - good member to start restoring a gender balance. She(Debbie that is) is having day planner anxiety as all kinds of events being scheduled now and canโt figure out how to be in three places at once. That would be a quantum super duper position.
Chris M. will resend the template for Givergy(Fr.) and please attach it to the items on your list. Often think about Garth as a different species as he shows up ready to play golf(Eds. note he is a different species, I golf with him๐๐ผโโ๏ธ) However Chris and Carolyn going golfing today and becoming the same species.
Susan has to drive off to Costco thanked everyone for the complements for the scarf. Itโs cold. Had lunch with Ron yesterday for a mentorship meeting and Susan had a great birthday as well.
Mary Lou welcomed Peachy our new member. Clap Clap great news. Suggests recruiting her for the auction committee. Mary Lou is golfing tomorrow and is registered in two ladies leagues. She was at a dinner with 400 hundred people and the Prime Minister in a room for the first time and had not worn a dress in two years. Neither has Garth or perhaps longer.
Larry timed Judy's absence at four minutes and 28 seconds - but whose counting. He is feeling a little under weather after a shot in the arm. He is donating a $1,200 purse with the computer for a live auction item. (Thanks Larry!)
Melinda congrats to Peachy. Melinda is happy to see family but not a lot to report. Has been watching some baseball spring training.
Belinda had a great spring break Ucluelet watching everyone get into the mustang suits including grandchildren. She saw lots of wild life and one of the fish farm that will be gone by 2025. Also took her mom to share life story in the Arts Council Faces of Richmond project. If you are interested in learning more follow this link. Dick started entering items in Givergy and reminded us how important it is to put item number on your item donations.
Garth looking forward to wearing his dress and while Chor Leone is doing a tour of White Rock and out the Valley. He went to Whistler to ski but there has been so much rain cannot ski out. Had one of the wettest days at Peace Portal slogging through the mud, the blood and the beer.
Carolyn spent an hour and quarter at Van City and will have all the banking straightened out just in time for Bobby. Off to Sacramento to visit a friend and to help her qualify for the Pan Am Games as a horse groomer. Looking forward to working with and watching Olympic level riders for four days.
I regaled all with stories of being surrounded by birds on the lawn in Kihei, surrounded by family with covid, and about my good friend Allison Murray who was very sick during a trial.
Bobby welcomed Peachy. Bobby had a bad week with renters as the day care he was renting to was closed down as they were operating without a license. Now has to rent to a family causing a revenue drop. His Mexican rental not going to arrive. There was a flood at the palace costing $15,000, a main water line burst and there was 4 inches of rain. While going into Van City he saw an older fellow fall down and got out to help. Finally another truck drive stopped to help. They called 911 and the ambulance came and while attending that person a lady in a walker also fell. Bobby is going to dinners now where has to wear a suit again. Busy at the Hall.
Pat is enjoying the nicer weather too and got her car back after $4,600 in repairs. She is taking her grand daughter to the orthodontists and looking forward to spending time with her. Sadly, Pat had a long time nursing friend lose a daughter.
