Chris M. thanks Taylor and Michelle for the insight on the tunnel and remembers when the Massey Tunnel was just new and hopes she lives to see the new one completed. She won’t be here next week as she is going with a group of bridge/golf friends to Tign Na Mara on the island.

Dalbir’s mother-in-law was released from the hospital today and he was impressed by the Red Cross personnel who came to set up the bed, lift etc. as she’ll be staying with them for 3-4 months.
Debbie S.’s friend was just diagnosed with throat cancer caused by the HPV virus. Children 9-26 years old should be vaccinated, both boys and girls, as this prevents throat cancer and other genital related cancers. Almost all of us will have actually had HPV.
Marg has been going to hockey games, both good and bad, and has lots of dinners and lunches coming up over the Easter weekend.
Peter says one of his card-playing members just passed away, at 111 years old, the oldest person in Richmond. She was witty until last fall, and still playing cards. She was at Gilmore Gardens.
Judy spent 5 relaxing days in Birch Bay with her daughter, then Warren came with his two kids (a little less relaxing, but fun). It was her longest period in Birch Bay - 2 weeks!
Bill gives credit to Debbie for the WestJet success, including the suitcases. He reminds us to get the table information to Chris P. right away.

Sam commended our speakers today, taking on the daunting task of presenting to us, and doing such a good job. Justin and Sam have embarked on the long path to parenthood, with embryos being made and many steps to go.
Blair wanted to talk about his 17 grandchildren, but…time is short. He was golfing last Saturday, is going to Furry Creek on Sunday, and to the game tonight.
Danny is leaving for the Philippines this weekend, to see about his properties and will see a James Taylor concert, then on to Korea!

Chris P. says Donny has had cancer removed from his back and has a scar and she is looking after him, but in the big scheme of things, a little skin cancer is nothing.
Carolyn was on the board of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce for 8 years and has been watching the plans for the new crossing over those years and wasn’t very optimistic. But she hopes to see it in our lifetime. She was having a bad time creating blurbs for her auction items but chatgpt is fabulous at it, so she is going to redo them.
Elena was home last night at 9 pm. having taken the SkyTrain, to an event downtown with Philippines board of trade, so it was hard to get up this morning.
Micheal, from the podium, has been busy with elections for the Sikh temple this Saturday and hopes to win as he has been campaigning every night as late as 11 or midnight.

Bobby was at the Canuck’s game and is heading to Whistler next week.
John is just back from Hawaii for a week, had all kids and grandkids, (18 of them). They sold their condo after 27 years which is bittersweet. One little guy swam over a turtle called Bob, and over time John has seen an huge increase in turtle population, as there used to be only Sebastian!
Bob hopes the tunnel gets done, although thinks it will still be too small. He has seen pedestrian pathways in tunnels in Europe and hopes for police patrol in ours.
