Dick was inspirational this week.

PAGE Rotaractors have been here from around the world visiting for 10 days. President Chris has been assisting them.

Saturday August 29 was the motorcycle ride to Whistler that some of our members participate in to raise funds.

Thanks to Sandra for procuring a projector.

Sunday was the Bbq at the Brodie’s home. It turned out to be quite a nice day after all power or none.

 

Belinda brought her colleague and biomed expert Tina (Baremba) who has spoken to us before about her work in Uganda.

 

Fiona Cheung was introduced by Margaret.

Fiona is a noted musician and music teacher. She spoke to us about her new project to incorporate a new non-profit called Music Dream to promote the importance of music through sharing.

Fiona is looking for guidance, connections and awareness.

John leaves his own firm after 18 years to join a large downtown firm. We wish much success with that.

Chris M is back to work marshalling her teachers.

Tina is off to Uganda with her team of 7 specializing in ENT work.

Debbie T is off to Seattle on the ride to conquer cancer

Debbie S is off to Penticton for the Ironlady and then to San Francisco

Chris P is also off to SF

Doug successfully returned our 10 Rotarians safely from a guy’s fishing trip. The fish were safe apparently as only two succumbed.  A girl’s fishing trip to follow was promised.

Mary-Lou was hit by a bicycle and then hit by a skunk. That vehicle is not long for this world.

Bill moved residences after the meeting, looking pretty relaxed about it.

Margaret had fun sailing.

Jorge unfortunate is transferring to Surrey shortly and will no longer be able to join us.
