CLUB MEETING
The Christmas party will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017 at present Heather's home.
The AGM will be held at our next meeting, November 23, 2017.
Foundation Dinner is January 25, 2018. Talk to John.
Our meeting on January 28, 2018 is moved to the Milltown Pub in Vancouver to raise funds for the Rotary Foundation.
COMMITTEE UPDATES
A Projects Committee meeting will be held following the next club meeting on November 23, 2017
There will be an auction committee meeting November 28, 2017 at Brian's office.
SERGEANT at ARMS
Either your editor was asleep or there was nothing notable said. Probably the former.
SPEAKERWe were entertained by The Re: Sisters singing group who were introduced by Chris M.
The group's material is akin to the sixties coffee house protest songs, "honest songs about women's lived experiences and social justice issues".
They are retired teachers and union reps and have been together for 12 years. They have an incredibly busy schedule singing for schools, fundraisers, and international conferences.
They also have a multimedia presentation which tells the story of Canadian women as agents of social change, especially the unsung.
