Sam presented Sandra with her 5th PH - Congratulations Sandra!
Chris M introduced and thanked our visiting group "Kids Power Society". The basic message they delivered is that kids are the future and have new ideas. The 7 kids ranged in age from 5 to 10 years. "Alia" (8 yrs) was the lead spokesperson. Their presentation finished with questions to Rotarians. An interesting and different program... For more information go to www.kidspowersociety.com

Did you know? An Epidemic is an outbreak of disease that attacks many peoples at about the same time and may spread through one or several communities.
A Pandemic is the worldwide spread of a new disease.
Throughout history, there have been a number of pandemics, such as smallpox and tuberculosis. One of the most devastating pandemics was the Black Death, which killed an estimated 75 - 200 million people in the 14th century. Some recent pandemics include: HIV, Spanish flu, 2009 flu pandemic and H1N1. Where will COVID-19 fit into the history books? Minor footnote we hope....

A Highway patrolman pulled alongside a speeding car on the freeway.. Glancing at the car, he was astounded to see that the blonde behind the wheel was knitting!
Realizing that she was oblivious to his flashing lights and siren, the trooper cranked down his window, turned on his bullhorn and yelled, “PULL OVER!”
“NO!” the blonde yelled back, “IT'S A SCARF!”
