Last weeks meeting
- Speaker was our very own Paul R... Paul has taken on the role of "District Grant Chair" for our District 5040. He gave us a summary of the District grant opportunities for our club. His basic message was that our club can (and should) access more district grant money in support of the many worthwhile local projects that come our way. Expect to see Paul's influence on our projects committee. PDG Gord thanked Paul for his presentation.
- President Larry gave an appreciation cheque to the Richmond Golf and Country Club cook (did not catch a name)

- This was PDG Gord's last meeting for a few months. Off to take in the Mexican sunshine at his winter retreat!!
- Amanda is happily back at work - she reminded us to bring baskets and basket items for the upcoming auction....
- Larry described how "Google Home" has affected his daily routine. Just by saying "Hey Google" he can command numerous home activities (IF Google could understand him that is). I sensed some "minor" frustration!
- Ron credited his first issue of the Rotarian magazine with useful advice re clutter - if you have not used an item for 2 yrs get rid of it..
- Debbie M reminded us of the upcoming external Paul Harris award. This is being organized as a "joint" presentation of all the Richmond Rotary Clubs. Your name submissions requested....

- Welcome to 2019 the year of the Pig (according to the Chinese 12-year animal zodiac cycle),
- 14 attended the non meeting breakfast at Harold's Bistro on Dec 27th. Debbie M "picked up" the tab - Thanks Debbie!!
