Last weeks meeting
President Sam led a short discussion about COVID-19 implications for our weekly meeting. Decision: Continue as normal...... Ok to replace handshake with elbow bumps or other greeting alternatives...
Our club has donated to BC Guide dogs and a trainee puppy has been give the name "Sunrise". Sunrise was the star attraction as we heard about the enjoyment of being a home host trainer.
Debbie T introduced Marie Radcliffe from SD 38, she spoke about the "Alternate Programs" available to students in Richmond. Marie works for SD 38's Learning Services Dept. She says their focus is on "whats good for kids". Following her presentation she allowed questions, and there were many. An interesting subject for our members. Chris M thanked our speaker.

Did you know? Speaking of Italy - Its official name is Repubblica Italiana. The Italian flag is green, white and red. Italy is a democratic republic and is a founding member of the European Union. Prior to Italian unification (also known as the Risorgimento), the United States had diplomatic relations with the main entities of the Italian peninsula: the Kingdom of Sardinia, the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, and the Papal States.

Today's Chuckle
A man walks into a police station and announces, “My wife’s gone missing.”
The police officer says, “OK sir, we’ll help you. Since when has your wife been missing?”
The man replies, “Since about a month ago.”-
The police officer is shocked, “What? A month?! Why on Earth are you coming only now?!”-
“Well… I’ve ran out of clean clothes to put on.”
