Last weeks meeting
PDG Gord introduced (and thanked) District Governor Bala Naidoo. Bala brought greetings from both District 5040 and Rotary International. During his presentation he made several suggestions. e.g. Richmond Clubs should develop a Richmond Rotary Strategy. He encouraged Rotarians to visit other Rotary clubs. He acknowledged that "makeup visits" are not necessary for attendance records but emphasized the rich and varied experience from visiting other clubs. Lots of emphasis on youth throughout the district, He complimented our club for contributing to this effort including having a very youthful President!!

- SAA Kathy dished out SAA hugs to Amanda and Debbie T. This may be the start of a new tradition?
- Debbie T told of health challenges for hubby Drew, and a 29 yr old friend with Bell's palsy. She added a good news story - Richmond SD has been awarded "Greenest Schools"!
- World Rotary Traveler (WRT) Danny told more stores about Rotary club visits on his recent trip to China and Japan. His stories fit perfectly with DG Bala's recommendation to visit other clubs!
- Mark (and family) enjoying touring Kootenay Lake in the new 33' Powerboat.
- Carolyn off to visit her 92 yr old "second mother" in Florence
- Peter announced that Carolyn is now on the Board of Richmond Therapeutic Riding Association... Congratulations to both Carolyn and RTRA!!
