Okay so this was a really weird zooming morning with the zoomers talking over the in person and Bobby working diligently to connect everyone and thanks to him he did eventually. So we did finally get to Sergeant at Arms.
Bob went hiking in the lower Lynn Valley.
Judy had another birthday dinner last night(the celebration continues). Is off to Whistler with Spencer's family and staying at Ghirra's. Sports day tomorrow - unless there is an atmospheric river.☂️
Debbie M. was in another regatta and is paddling four times a week. And in granddaughter news she is now getting up on her knees and pulling herself up. She will soon be paddling with Grandma.
Kal was also at the funeral yesterday and particularly sad because her father is 88 years old and was beside the coffin of his daughter who was 56.
Marg missing the zoomers enjoyed the nice hot breakfast and her sister is still living with them.
Blair has attempted to join our club but they could not find he existed in his old Edmonton club as they may have killed him off. Until he reappears he cannot quit his old club. Sounds like bureaucracy has triumphed once again. 🤯
Gordon said that 30 years ago internet connection was a problem all the time and today was unusual with our connection problem. He has a busy week with rotary inductions and the Interact Clubs.
I am travelling and Christine M. will take over. But not for a couple weeks.
Debbie S. going for a hike with Chris and Heather Harrison.
Chris M. last night presented our scholarship at McNeil and was in her first school setting since retirement. She looked good in her black dress which led to an epiphany. As a mother of the bride to be she is looking for a seamstress who will make the same dress in a color other than black. Anyone know the email address for Cinderella's fairy godmother?🧙♀️
Bobby had nothing new but Mike is still in Mexico and Bobby is super busy with decorations and menus so Whistler has been cancelled.
Chris B joined us from California where there is a huge heat wave. She has gone to three plays including a Come From Away and Georgia McBride a drag show. She has also seen Chicago and is going to see the Beach Boys. Her son now listens to Chicago. Malcolm played Chicago to put himself through University. Chris' bling this morning included two different earrings.
Belinda visited her mom with the launch of twelve seniors Faces of Richmond on Community Arts Council web page. You click on the photo and hear their story. It is a great project and Belinda recommends checking it out with interesting stories from amazing Richmondites. Especially because our own Kalwinder is included - a senior???
Larry is going into St Paul's for his head procedure and then off to Toronto for a family wedding and then to Niagara Falls and then to New York. Then a deep breath.
Dick is in Richmond and alive to keep the record straight. He is off to the Okanagan for first time since Covid. He recommends Netflix the Lincoln lawyer. He is gone for two weeks. Garth thought Dick might possibly be a hologram.
Melinda saw Hamilton and it was fabulous. Says Dick should have qualified for the faces of Richmond. She is taking John to an appointment next week. She is also taking over us next week.
Elena went to the Bee Gees when she was in Vegas. She is planning to go away next week to Alberta.
Garth didn't say anything this week but he did win the award for picking the most hated car company in North America - apparently it is Ford. I did not get a vote because I really liked my T-Bird and my hybrid Escape. Dick probably didn't vote either - he had an Escape at one time as well.
Pat thanked Bobby for persevering until the zoomers were connected. She was in Palm Springs for the week and drove home. The pool was 94 degrees in Indio and there were lots of traffic jams on the drive home. She came to the meeting after only two and a half hours sleep. She got to border and had forgot to fill out arrive Can. Pat needs a lawn mower or gardening service. Belinda offered her mom with her ride on mower.
